Ege Power Production Co. was founded on 19 March 1997 by more than 150 industrialists and businesspersons from Turkey’s Aegean Region with Enda as a 74.53% shareholder.
Egenda acts as a company which realises and operates the investments included in Enda Energy Holding’s portfolio which include Eğlence I HPP, Eğlence II HPP, Alaçatı WPP, Mordoğan WPP, Germiyan WPP, Urla WPP as well as its operational subsidiaries Tuzla GPP, Yaylaköy WPP and Su Enerji (Çaygören HPP).
Sine 1997, EGENDA has been operating solely in the energy sector through its affiliated companies and subsidiaries.
With a focus on renewable resources, Egenda’s fields of activity and interests as an investor is to develop and invest in energy production projects and operate power plants employing any form of production technologies.
Enda Energy Holding holds a 95% share in Akçay HPP Power Production Co. while the smaller partner Karesi Energy Co. holds the remaining 5% of shares.
Akçay HPP is located downstream of Kemer Dam that lies within the borders of Bozdoğan District, Aydın Province. The power plant with an installed capacity of 28.78 MWe has an average production capacity of 77,000 MWh.
A 40-year production license was granted in November 2003 and the plant became operational in the 3rd quarter of 2009. The duration of the production license was extended from 40 to 49 years on 08.04.2014. Produced energy is sold to EPİAŞ in scope of RESM.
Egenda Ege Energy Production Co. holds a 100% share of Su Energy.
Situated in Balıkesir Province, Sındırgı District, the 4.6 MW Çaygören HPP is located on Simav stream, at the tailwater of the Çaygören Dam. The plant has a production capacity of 20,700 MWh. Since its commercial opening in June 2006, produced energy has been sold to the system and supplier companies in scope of the BRR (Balancing Reconciliation Regulation) according to free market conditions.
Group company Egenda Ege Energy Production Co. holds a 100% share of Tuzla Geothermal Energy Production Co. Located at Tuzla region in Çanakkale Province, Ayvacık District, Tuzla Geothermal Power Plant has an installed capacity of 7.5 MWe and an annual average production capacity of 56,070 MWh. A 40-year production license was granted in May 2004. Tuzla GPP started operation in January 2010 as a binary cycle geothermal power plant with 2 production wells (at 540 m and 565 m) and 2 re-injection wells (at 927 m and 871 m) with reservoir and wellhead temperatures of 174 C and 148 C respectively. The current 7.5 MWe design is based on 48 ton/h steam and 693 ton/h of superheated water. A new 500 m deep production well with a wellhead temperature of 148 C was phased in on 18.08.2018 allowing the power plant to feed on 3 production wells. Produced energy is sold to EPİAŞ in scope of RESM.

1- Tuzla GPP
Egenda Co. holds an 80% share in Yaylaköy WPP Electricity Production Co. while the smaller partner Örsçekiç and Family holds the remaining 20% of shares. Located at Yaylaköy, Karaburun District, Izmir Province, Yaylaköy WPP has an installed capacity of 15 MWe and annual average energy production capacity of 38,600 MWh. A 49-year production license was granted in May 2008 and the plant became operational in the 1st half of 2010. Produced energy is sold to EPİAŞ in scope of RESM.
Founded on 16.04.2009, Egenda Co. holds an 89% share in WPP IYTE Energy Production Co. while the smaller partner Izmir Institute of Technology holds the remaining 11% of shares. Located in the IYTE Campus, Urla WPP has an installed capacity of 13 MWe and annual average energy production capacity of 40,600 MWh. Currently a part of Egenda Ege Energy Production Co. legal entity, negotiations are in progress to transfer the plant to WPP IYTE.
