Born in 1964, Koray Kıymaz earned degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mathematics from Boğaziçi University. He received his PhD in Economics from Tulane University in the United States in 1994.
Kıymaz began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company before joining Avea Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., where he held senior positions in business development, customer services and marketing. He later served as an adviser to the Board of Directors at Türk Telekom A.Ş. and, between 2009 and 2017, as the Executive Committee Member responsible for Business Development.
Since 2017, Kıymaz has served as General Manager of Fiba Renewable Energy Holding. He is also a Board Member at Enda Enerji Holding A.Ş.
